Audience of One
my whole body ached from this afternoon's practice for an upcoming musical play sponsored by our church. we rehearsed for almost two and a half hours continuously and had only one water break in between. We finished the choreography of the whole song and it was full of jumping and gestures of rejoicing since the song entitled Home To Heaven is about going going to heaven someday. We are rejoicing knowing that we are going to be with God in heaven someday!
I've been rehearsing for almost a month now and I've realized that I've been focusing so much on getting the dance steps right and the physical pain I'm feeling instead of focusing on the purpose of the dancing for the play - to glorify God.
(I thank Achie Emlyn for reminding us last week that we are performing for an audience of one.)
