Friday the Thirteen
I never expected anything unusual when I woke up last Friday morning. I didn't even realized that it was friday the thirteen until a friend of mine mentioned it to me. I was just happy becuase the week has finally come to an end...
My adventure started when a friend of mine ask for a ride going to a building near Shangri-La. She was going to claim her Hillsong concert tickets she reserved earlier that week. I was suppose to directly go to church for our BYF fellowship but since it was still early, I agreed to bring her to Shang. On our way there, I felt a tugging feeling of desire to also go to the concert. It was a once in a lifetime event and since the opportunity was there right in front of me, I quickly grabbed it! Problem was I didn't have someone to accompany me to the concert and the money to buy tickets... I had no other way of getting money so we dropped by my house to grab some money. When we arrived there, the only tickets available was already at the back. Determined to get front seat tickets, I reserved the back seat tickets in case I was not able to find any.
On my way to the fellowship, Joana and Will called me because there were no food and no leaders yet. The children were already restless and hungry. I didn't know what to do because I was never in charge of the food. I didn't know where to buy or what to buy. They suggested me to buy boxes of chicken somewhere on my way there. They also didn't have rice so I had to buy some too! It was raining, traffic and I was panicking. Where was everybody?? Through God's grace, I was able to find a place to buy food and rice. I used the money I brought for the tickets to buy food. When I arrived, I was also amazed becuase everyone was eager to help out. Instead of getting food to eat for themselves, the kids opened up the food in order to serve others. It was the most amazing thing I've seen! I presided the rest of the night and I really had so much fun. Pastor Pan spoke about Heaven, they signed up for the new BYF dance troupe and we had our group picture taken.
God is truly amazing! His power is made perfect in our weaknesses. The fellowship may started out to be a disaster but He can turn it to success if we trust in HIM. We couldn't, shouldn't and wouldn't take the credit for making the BYF successful. God deserves all the glory! Thank you Joanna, Will and David for letting God work through you last Friday. =)
